A nourishing smoothie traditionally believed to support healthy growth and strong bones—so children “grow like bamboo shoots.”

Ingredients
- 1 ripe banana
- 4 oz fresh fruit juice (orange, apple, or pear work well)
- 4 oz liquid whey
- 5 drops raw almond oil
- 5 drops raw sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon cooked honey (optional*)
Instructions
- Peel and slice the banana.
- Gently scrape the soft white strings from the inside of the peel (these are added for extra nutrients).
- Add banana, scraped strings, fruit juice, whey, almond oil, sesame oil, and honey (if using) into a blender.
- Blend on medium speed until smooth and creamy.
- Serve immediately.
